You may just want to load it up and take it to a sandblaster.

I am facing the same situation with my Dodge M37 cab. I have 2 concerns about blasting, sanding or chemical stripping the cab.

One is that most likely the paint or primer contains lead figure you are going to need a good respriator for that and you are also going to have to dispose of the stripped material which is probably considered hazardous waste in some locations.

Also if you have kids around the lead getting into the ground water or the residue being around for them to get into is not worth the risk of the damage to them.

I don't want to sound like sour grapes but for the couple of hundred bucks it would take to get it done, you will breathe easier and sleep better not having to worry about it.
