This rare Power Giant has been refurbished, not restored. 141 W300's were built in 1960 with the 251. Spent entire life in high desert in Nevada, sheet metal is rust free (floor had surface from Lime green shag carpet but is absolutely solid).

I removed the existing flatbed and replaced with a rare factory 9' stake bed (bed still has frame attached which makes bed ride higher). The previous owner (county in Nevada) shortened the rear of the frame by approximately 12". I was going to fishplate back to original but decided to leave as is.

The bed has mostly 1" plywood on it but I do have all of the 9' metal strips - sandblasted, epoxy primed, and painted black. Next owner will want to finish with nice oak or the wood of his choice.

A badly bondo-ed driver's door with a solid straight one but that door's glass is cracked and needs to be replaced.

Gas tank was boiled out and sealed, rebuilt carburetor, generator, starter, Warn hubs, transfer case, new clutch master cylinder, amongst other things. The brakes work very well, booster will lock all four tires. Tires have excellent tread but are a bit weather checked, look like McCleary Super Lugs.

I drove this truck at the 2001 Colorado Rocky Mountain Rendezvous over three 13000' passes including Black Bear outside Telluride. Since painting, the truck has been driven very little but I did manage to scratch the paint in a couple places while in storage. Truck needs the interior finished (headliner, door panels, door weather-stripping), doors adjusted, etc... It will need a slight tune-up since it has not been driven often but it starts right up every time and runs very smooth. This W300 was built for work and is a very usable old workhorse, looks pretty good too. This Power Giant is not perfect but I have been told it is one of the cleanest W300 out there.

$6,750 obo

I fabricated/reproduced the proper frame extensions and brackets for a correct Braden LU-2 setup for the W300 and rebuilt/painted an Braden LU-2 but did not install. This setup is also available.

Truck is located in Austin, Texas and available for viewing (encouraged).
