Hmmmmmm. I'm not sure what's up with my diesel. I am getting about 15 to 17 mpg. Maybe the engine isn't broken in yet. I only have about 5000 miles on it. I will wait and see what happens. Also with the 6 speed trans, at about 80 mph, the engine is turning about 2200 rpm. Isn't that bad to hold the revs high that long? Redline is only 3000 rpm, so I would think that running it that fast is bad. At 80 mph, how fast is your diesel turning over? Is it the same? My truck has 3:73's in it because I drove another diesel with the 4:10's in it and the truck just screamed at highway speed. Screaming a diesel is bad, isn't it?( It sure sounds Bad )
