Thats no joke! I have read the other thread about selling and time and adding up reciepts.

I have no doubt Mark has the amount of money invested in the truck. I have no doubt he put in that much time. He did an excellent restoration.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...all antique vehicles no matter what it is most restorations are done out of a labor of love. As far as I am concerned all of anyones time put into a vehicle is for the love of the hobby. Not thinking I can add this amount per hour to the price of the vehicle.

Not many vehicles out there will command a price that puts a nice profit into your pocket.

An example would be my plain 1969 Dodge Charger. Its rusted out. It needs quarter panels, trunk floor,re-chrome,tc.

A 1969 Charger RT Hemi 4speed uses the same body parts and rusts in the same spots as the plain 69 does. With the exception of the rebuild cost of the Hemi being more it takes the same to fix both vehicles. The Hemi car will obviosuly be worth more when done even though the same work and parts were involved with both vehicles.

Is it worth it to restore my plain 69 Charger? Sure it is because I want to do it because I love the hobby and the car. Will I get $60000 out of it when I am done. Probably not!

Todd
