Greetings everyone.
My name is Garrett Johnson and I live in Morris, Connecticut.
I have owned and operated a 1976 Dodge W100 for almost 20 years. However, I always had an interest in the original Power Wagon. In January I purchased a 1946 WDX. This truck is rust free from Colorado. But it does need a complete restoration. This truck is also an early production unit (#241). Since I brought it home I got it to run (sounds good). It has no brakes, so the only drive to date was a couple of trips up and down the driveway. I am planning on rebuilding it mechanically first, then cosmetically. At this point in time I have the front axle assembly out and apart. I am cleaning everything along with replacing all the bearings, bushings, seals, and brake components. After it is completely reassembled and installed I will do the rear axle assembly next. Then I will be able to drive it. After that the transfer case is next, followed by the transmission then the engine. I am only doing one assembly at a time to avoid having a large pile of parts and a massive project all at once.

If anyone owns or has any information on the unique differences of an early production Power Wagon please contact me. I have identified many differences that I would like to share with others who are interested.

Also, about two weeks ago on the forum someone posted that they were reproducing windshield regulator gears. Does anyone have any information on how I can contact him?

Thanks,
Garrett
