3/8ths is about right for the angle. Since you have done that, you probably have changed the toe-in and should have the alignment checked. Also do these checks:
1. Take off a tie rod end from the knuckle flange. Jack the tire off the ground;
2. Grab top and bottom of tire and try rocking it for play - your looking for wheel bearing play. If you have some adjust your bearings;
3. Grab the sides of the tire and turn it left and right - your looking to tell if the steering knuckle flange has a drag on it. If the tire can turn easy, they are too loose. You should have 25-28 foot pounds or torque to move it;
4. Check your tie rod end for play. Do the above for each tire;
5. Tighten the steering drag link tube end sockets by using the screw to adjust - seat the socket and back screw off to first hole.
When they did the balancing, did anyone check to see if the tire is "out of round" or had a flat spot? May be the reason for a lot of weights.
Hard shaking at the front end is usually three things:
1. A loose steering system,
2. Out of balance or out of round tires.
When things are right, it's a smooth ride!!!!
