You've given me several good ideas. I think I'll start by adjusting all the brakes and the parking brake since they're overdue for it anyway. When I jack up each wheel and spin in back and forth to check the brake adjustment, I should be able to feel if anything is grabbing in reverse. If that doesn't fix it, I hope the tranny holds out till I have time to pull it and tear it down. Might drain some gear oil in the meantime and see how much powdered steel is in it. Thanks again!
