The 386310 (1.96:1 reduction) is the correct TC for the PW. It provides 5 forward gears when starting out in low range and working through the gears. This is done by shifting out of low range in 3rd, continuing in 3rd in high and finally shifting into 4th. If you have a heavy load or pulling something heavy, this is a good way to start. The WC61 I think is a is a 1.5:1 reduction. That allows 7 forward speeds by splitting the transmission gears. The advantage between the two is that the 1.96:1 provides a lower 1st gear. Big question is do you have the cast iron brackets to mount the 386310 with rubber insulators?
