I posted this further down the forum and I felt compelled to do it again after reading more comments. I believe if we stick with the common item in society to avoid commenting on, except with people we personally know, it will help keep the some of the irritation being shown, to a minimum:
Religion;
Politics;
Pornography – in any form, and
Any malicious verbal assault (mainly posted by outsiders.)
I personally would not like to see logon/password access implemented due to the fact that we get visitors that become frequent contributors by allowing the openness of the forum. Once we close the free access, we close ourselves to other potentially nice folks that would share their knowledge and experiences, simply because it's a pain to go through the process getting access. I think we need to accept the fact that this will happen periodically and that WE have the POWER to control it when it happens by ignoring inappropriate matter when it appears. They (outsiders) WIN, when we acknowledge their post by responding to it directly or indirectly. LET'S NOT LET THOSE HAPPEN and let Joe manage the forum appropriately!!!!!
