You didn't say what transmission/axel combination you have. In '91 I trailered my '46 WDX from Ill. to Anchorage, Ak. Tow vehicle was an '89 Ford F250 w/351 engine and the 5 speed transmission. Trailer was a 10k lb. tandum axel w/electric brakes. The truck towed the load fine. But there were a few spots while going up the Alcan where a little more brakes would of been nice. Considering the problems that Dodge has been having in the last few years with their automatics/diesel engines, if you have an automatic tranny, get an aftermarket transmission oil cooler. And don't use the overdrive. Lock it out. Especially if your truck has the high speed rear end (low numerically). If you have something like a 4.10 or higher numerically rear end you so be okay. Just remember what the others have said about brakes. When I towed mine, the trailer with truck loaded weighed around 7500-7600 lb's. You need sufficient amount of braking from the trailer brakes, truck brakes, and engine braking through your transmission to control every thing. Good Luck on your trip and may you have many years of fun with your new truck. Robert
