When in Vietnam working with the 1st. Field Forces (Provisional) they had these 3/4 tons, a flat fender jeep version and the 2 and 1/2 ton trucks versions. They were hard working take it all trucks. Doing it with much less qualified maintenance than our own versions.
This truck ran over a 105mm Howitzer round buried in the road. The driver lived all though he was messed up good. It blew the motor and trans clean out of the mounts and most of the sheet metal was shredded off and a lot of stuff came up through the floorboards. This truck was put back in service shortly afterward.
The M-37 type had a diesel. I would like that motor in mine ok. How about the 20" wheels?
