For the VT rally their were two possible winners for furthest traveled, Me, and Ron in IN.

Ron had brought his (my old) 64 PW TW on my trailer, towed by my 97 Dodge.

I had brought a tiny peice of steel from my 59 W300 that we had used to mount a brake switch.

I had come from WI, Via MO, and IN, Ron had come from IN.

I had traveled further, but Ron brought a WHOLE truck, so I let him have the award.

Niether of us had driven any distance with an old truck, but we had traveled the furthest.

If the CA rally was held a little later(maybe June 20th?) I would be there, and I might bring a truck, should I win furthest traveled?

It is all in how it is defined, but as I agree that driving any distance further then across town in a 1947 Dodge truck is quite a challange, maybe there should be TWO awards.

1 for furthest traveled, period, does not matter if you flew in.

Plus a second award for furthest DRIVEN in a PW. Special recognition if you drove in something with a FH6 and 5.83 gears!

That way that guy who drove 200 miles in a FF would get something for his labor!

Just my thoughts.

Eric
