That was an Outstanding post, i have been interested in trying that for a long time and had about considered a kit, i have access to most of the parts for the slant six coversion, i would like to do a flathead conversion as i have a 61WM300 that has a sweet running 251 in her with only 24000 miles, what all would be different in do this to the 251, i would think in some areas that it might be easier, and in engine design it would be cleaner looking. also have a slant six that i plan on putting in a power wagon and would like to do this conversion on it, but the 251 would be top priority. Well keep us informed.
