Interesting plane, the Power Wagon of today's Air Force perhaps.

Actually, IIRC, the plane was designed around the gun, a GAU/8A firing 30mm shells at 3900 rounds per minute.

I worked with the folks who made the DU penetrators for awhile and got to see some interesting movies of the interior of Russian tanks. Not pretty. They used to buzz us on the dunes north of Nellis AFB.

Impressive.
