Hi,
Do you have the original trans? Most of the internals are similar to a 2wd (or even a car). If you can find a small block 2wd or car 727, you can change over the output shaft and tailhousing but use everything else from the new trans. If you have the original, is it rebuildable? The 727 is pretty easy to rebuild.
