Use split rivits available at the local hardware store. Just stick them through (Icepick or small phillips hole prep) and pry them apart with a screw driver. Then you could rig a vise grip to crunch them open at the base or tap a dolly, etc. They come in Brass coating or copper. I used brass on my WWII 3/4 t Good Luck waw
