Comments on fabrication...... I had ask the chap if they were made from an aluminum extrusion ..... his reply was that they used a mild steel extrusion????
....from my limited knowledge of steel.... even if mild.... is not easily extruded in a semi liquid state similar to soft aluminum.
After seeing some of the complex forms possible with aluminum I beleive that it would be easier to extrude than to have the complex roll and fold of the real frame.
In any event a visit to the manufacturing site would certainly prove interesting.
