Hey brent,
here's your situation,
installation of FRESH AIR SYSTEM on 57'Truck or town wagon/panel
1.look on your fire wall on the passenger side,
you should see a hole about 3 1/2 inches
in diameter. It will have a plate spot welded
over it. This is the fresh air block off plate,
all trucks not equipped with FAS will have this.

2.There is an open cone, with a flanged end, that
bolts to this(4 screws)opening on the firewall.
A cable runs from a close off flap(inside the cone)through your firewall and down to your
control knob area (the knob has an A on it or something like that).

3.HERES THE TRICKY PART. the fresh air intake
is behind the headlights on the passenger side
a little to the upper left. It will also have
small block off plate, spot welded on.
I bet your still waiting for the tricky part
huh? 1957 FRESH AIR INTAKE IS UNIQUE TO THAT
YEAR WHERE IT BOLTS TO THE CORE SUPPORT. THEY ARE
NOT INTERCHANGEBLE WITH LATER MODEL FAS.

4.heres the difference........Opps, gotta go
I'll finish this in about an hour. stay tuned
