Hi,
After looking at the pic -- I would suspect a water/ anti-freeze
leak into the cylinder. It appears that there was metal/ aluminum transfer
on the piston and the section of top ring that can be seen. Also on the
left side the surface appears pitted, as well a crack in the lower right
area.
