I've hauled four PWs home over just the last couple of months. I've also hauled more heavy industrial equipment than I care to think about. I think that I can comment on this operation with some confidence in not leading anyone astray. First, do not try using a tow bar, big or small, these trucks donot respond well. I use a Demco brand aluminum, tilt bed, dual axle trailer with a tongue operated surge type brake. It is rated for a 6000 pound load, before everyone starts in on me about how much PWs weigh, I know it is about 5900 - 6000 lbs. These quality trailer makers do not design a trailer that will break at one pound over their rating there is always a safety factor, as much as 25%. I pull down the front end with a 2-1/2" strap at each corner, and one at each rear corner. The trucks never move or scoot around. The main thing is getting the tongue load correct, if you don't it will be skitterish on the road, swerving from side to side. This is not a pleasant situation. Just load it enough toward the front and you should be ok. I use a extended cab Chevy, it is somewhat under powered while traveling up the mountains, but it gets the job done. I can travel at 65-70 on flat ground. Good luck and just be cautious until you get the feel of it. PS. Don't try this without some form of trailer brakes!
