: After replacing all wheel cylinders, I have this problem:

: o Pedal movement decreases over 10-20 miles driving
: o Opening any bleeder releases pressure and frees pedal
: o Upon stopping, one drum (Left Rear) is hot, others cool

: Actions taken:

: o New master cylinder
: o Many brake adjustment sessions
: o Adjust master cylinder free play

: All to no avail...Any ideas? Thanks!

The rod in the mastercyliner must be adjusted tothe proper length to allow the comp port to open on release of the brake pedal. Ihad that problem. My '56 also had power brake booster seperate from master cylinder that was causing similar problem. Still needs rebuild, but manula brakes work good for now.
