: : : Steve,
: : Did you do the swap yourself? Was it difficult to get the motor and tranny in? Did you need to move the transfer case back, if so did you extend all

: I purchased the truck converted. The transfer shift lever linkages were unmodified; the emergency
: brake linkage had been ditched. I replaced it; a mounting bracket for the brake lever
: had to be fabbed. I also owned a '53 with a 350 v8 and TH350 automatic that maintained the
: stock linkage location but everything was skewed over a couple of inches so it looked funny but
: worked OK. Engine and tranny mounting on that '53 were done very nicely; My current '51 is a
: bit hackier, but it works.

Steve---

Would it be possible to get photograph's of your engine swap and truck?
Yours would be the first and only example I have been able to track down.
I would be more than happy to pay for the film and developing and cost to
mail it to Hawaii, or if you have a scanner maybe you could e-mail me the
images. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Stafford
