Joe. I get 50 mph with my restored 1947 WDX. Engine was completely rebuilt. I thought I would only get about 40 so I am pleased. I have a governor on it but Mike at Vintage advises not to change it. My tires are equal to 900x16. My problem is poor gas mileage. 7 mpg. Anybody have any ideas on how to improve it. Thanks.
