Did you have a big input (ball pilot brg) shaft or small (bushing) main drive gear? I have a 1.00 540 that I would like to use in my WC53 but the pilot gear is different than the 420 behind the 360 now.
59 Ford PU pedals work well for swingers on pw's. 60-62 Chev dual master cylinders (clutch and brake) are good too. I prefer separate cyls so you can use dual for brake only. 54 C1PW I have uses ford pedal w/dodge clutch and brk mast cyl from 68 D100. Also are you using the parking brake drum on the 540 o ron tcase?
