George,
I'm new to scanning but here goes.
Get someone to help if possible. Start the software that will actuaally tell the scanner to scan.
In my case I use Paint Shop Pro.
It might have the command "ACQUIRE", that should give you a preview of the picture.
Then figure out what resolution to use like 300dpi or 600dpi. 600 is good.
The preview should also show you what will be scanned with an outline of dashes.
If it looks good click the scan button, and you will get a picture of what you scanned.
Then save it as a .jpg like woody.jpg.
Attach it to an email and send it to me.

: I own a similar vehicle, but it has a Campbell
: instead of Cantrell. Both these companies made
: custom bodies for a variety of vehicles. Often
: they were used as school buses or for transport to
: resort hotels etc. I know of one Cantrell truck in
: Wisconsin, have seen pictures but not the truck. It
: had been originally onwed by a brewery there. Mine
: came from Arixona is was in very nice condition.
: But I am getting the wood restored now because the
: top bows had rotted out. My truck is a 1950 with
: seating for about 10. If I knew how to post a
: picture here...I would. Please give very specific
: instructions, I am not a computer jock, but I do
: have access to a scanner. I am using a Mac.
