the only reason I can see to use a 360 instead of a 318 is if you need some more torque. the 318 makes almost the same hp as the 360 but it is much better balanced (it will last longer at high rpms) also, the 360 sucks a lot more fuel than a 318. it was actually an afterthougt of chrysler to match everyone elses 350 cu in engines and isnt actually as well engineered as the 318.
