I purchased a 318 engine to install in my '53 M37. Came out of a '77 Plymouth Fury. Didn't notice until I got it home that the oil pan has the sump in front! Big clearance problem on the M37's front differential! My question is--can I get a rear-sump oil pan and oil pickup to fit on this engine or is the block different on a rear-sump 318? Anybody know the year & model vehicle parts I should ask for? I hope you enjoy a smile or two at my inexperience, but I hope you can help also.
