Setting up a rear end is a bit trcky if you have not done this type of work before. You do need to set the pre-load and some shimming of the bearings will probably be required to get the proper back-lash on the ring and pinion( contact points of the teeth). I recomend that you at least have someone help that is familiar with this type of work. You will also need to weld the lock bolt on the side of the housing back after you have made the proper adjustments. If you do alot of off roading, while you are doing this work you should think about putting a Lock Rite locker in the rear drive unit. I have one in mine and rarely have to use 4 wheel drive
