what Ihavedone in the past is 1 remove crankshaft 2 set block on hard surface with the deck facing up 3 soak the pistons for a day with about 4 oz liquid wrench each then trim a 4x4 to fit the holes about 1 ft long and use a 10lb sledge hammer on them usually if you try to drive them out from the bottom it is unsuccesful and usually if you try to drive them out with a regular hammer you might as well use it on your head. good luck.
