just so everyone can know,( I am not making this up) the carb. jetting on an M37 was designed so that the unit could operate on mineral spirits also known as paint thinner. this was done so that these vehicles could be operated on gasoline made even in third world countries some of which was pure crap. At one time this was classified info. So this being the case, I have Never known of an M37 under any condition of fuels to operate with a lean condition unless it had a restriction in the fuel system, or a Major vacuum leak.
